End of Life Ceremony Initial Meeting

Service Description

Our initial meeting is an opportunity for us to connect for me to conduct the interview with you to hear your needs, learn about your loved one and gain some understanding of your values and beliefs. You will be able to share important details in order to establish the scope, size, tone and cost of the specific services needed after your loved one has died. I will write a eulogy and obituary and together we will co-create and design an End of Life service based on your intention and the deceased's wishes. Many people die in the same way they have lived their lives. Some who have a large public persona are very active and socially inclined while others keep to themselves and have lived quiet, private lives. Most folks are somewhere in between. The person is the most important one to consider in how we honor them, the deceased, and "lay them to rest". Most of us have not considered the practical considerations about how and where we want our remains or those of our loved ones until the day comes when we have to face these difficult decisions. Services can range from an intimate, quiet and beautiful graveside committal or green burial to grand funerals with caskets, pews, and choir music. Many opt for a big Celebration of Life party or large memorial gathering. During the lockdown of the Covid era (that continues) many of us were not able to have a memorial service and gather with our friends and loved ones and it is still always possible to have a documented and intimate ceremony following an online memorial for extended family members and friends. There are many choices to be made and how you may choose and are able to participate and be involved with the process will help provide closure, the benefits of which will lend themselves toward your healing. I will be a liaison for you and the mortuary, memorial/funeral home, church/temple or gathering hall as well as working with florists, caterers to design, plan and coordinate a most beautiful service and ceremony for your loved one. I am also grounded, down to earth, and will help create beautiful ceremony for you to spread the ashes of your loved one, as well as for your pets, in sacred nature spots that are meaningful for you. After our initial meeting I will provide a quote for you based on the scope, size and practical aspects of your End of Life Ceremony. In an ideal and perfect world we will have the opportunity to meet and have these decisions made after you have lived your best life.
